Vizhinjam Port

After decades of delays, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated Vizhinjam Port on Friday, marking a milestone in India’s maritime infrastructure.

Gautam Adani thanked PM Modi and CM Vijayan for their support in developing India’s first deep-sea automated port.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday inaugurated the Vizhinjam Port in Thiruvananthapuram, calling it a 'symbol of new-age development'.

Adani Ports (APSEZ), the Adani Group’s flagship firm, posted a record ₹11,061 crore PAT for FY25, up 37% from last year.

Vizhinjam International Seaport in Kerala, developed by Adani Ports and SEZ Ltd, welcomed MSC Turkiye—India’s largest container ship to date.

"Building infrastructure is the toughest job. If it was easy, everyone would have done it. It demands complete involvement and patience," Adani stated.

On Tuesday, Adani Ports announced a 42% rise in net profit for H1 FY2025, reaching Rs 5,520 crore, up from Rs 3,881 crore last year.

Vizhinjam Port will not only enhance transshipment routes within India but also play a crucial role in managing transportation on major routes connecting India to strategically located ports in the USA, Europe, Africa, and the Indian subcontinent.

Karan Adani arrived at the inauguration of the Vizhinjam Port, India’s first trans-shipment port located near Kovalam Beach, Kerala.

In a landmark event for India's maritime sector, the Adani Group's Vizhinjam Port welcomed its first mothership on Thursday.
