Maharashtra Legislative Assembly began its three-day special session on Saturday, marking the official start of a new legislative term.

On Thursday, Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar took the oath as Deputy Chief Ministers of Maharashtra in a ceremony held at Mumbai's Azad Maidan.
