Kejriwal

Arvind Kejriwal, AAP National Convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister, accused the BJP and Election Commission of India (ECI) of conspiring to delete voter names.

Kejriwal’s letter highlighted his resumed focus on completing halted projects and repairing infrastructure, particularly broken roads

During the proceedings, senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi, representing Atishi and Kejriwal, argued that criminal defamation claims without demonstrable injury hold no legal merit. He pointed out that the complaint describes injury and shock as irreparable damage.

Kejriwal had been arrested by the ED on March 21, 2024, following a denial of protection against "coercive action" by the Delhi High Court

ASG SV In his ED appearance, Raju referred to Kejriwal's weight loss claim as untrue. He had claimed that Kejriwal weighed 65 kg when he was released from prison, having weighed 64 kg when he entered.

The complaint references a tweet by Kejriwal on January 27, 2024, and a press conference held by Atishi on April 2, 2024.

Petitioner argued that Kejriwal's arrest in connection with the Delhi Liquor Policy scam, under the money laundering law, rendered him unable to fulfill his duties as Chief Minister.

He said a delegation of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will meet EC officials on Saturday to demand an ED probe into the excise policy for Punjab.

The central investigative agency had previously issued summons on February 14, requesting his presence on February 19, an appointment that the Chief Minister failed to honor.

In parallel, the Delhi crime branch has also targeted Kejriwal, particularly following his allegations of BJP's involvement in attempting to poach seven AAP MLAs.
