Indian T20 World Cup Winners Stranded By Hurricane Beryl; Expected To Return Home Delayed

The triumphant Indian cricket team, victorious in the T20 World Cup, faces an unexpected delay in their return journey from Barbados due to the menacing Hurricane Beryl.

Originally scheduled to depart on Monday morning local time, the team has been on the Caribbean island for the past two days as the storm intensified into a Category 4 hurricane, disrupting local operations including airports and businesses.

Hurricane Beryl, now upgraded to a Category 5 storm, has prompted severe warnings of life-threatening winds and dangerous conditions across the region.

The National Hurricane Center of the United States reported the storm’s rapid escalation after it made landfall in the Windward Islands, continuing its menacing path towards Jamaica.
