Following in the footsteps of Indian skipper Rohit Sharma and star batsman Virat Kohli, India’s premier all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has announced his retirement from T20 internationals. This announcement comes after India’s thrilling victory in the T20 World Cup 2024, where they defeated South Africa by 7 runs at the Kensington Oval in Barbados.

Jadeja shared the news on his official Instagram handle with a heartfelt post, stating, “With a heart full of gratitude, I bid farewell to T20 internationals. Like a steadfast horse galloping with pride, I’ve always given my best for my country and will continue to do so in other formats. Winning the T20 World Cup was a dream come true, a pinnacle of my T20 International career. Thank you for the memories, the cheers, and the unwavering support.”

Since making his debut under the leadership of MS Dhoni, Jadeja has been a crucial player for India. Despite his significant contributions over the years, he struggled to find his form in the recently concluded tournament. Nonetheless, his legacy as a spin-bowling all-rounder remains firmly established.
