Originally scheduled to depart on Monday morning local time, the team has been on the Caribbean island for the past two days as the storm intensified into a Category 4 hurricane, disrupting local operations including airports and businesses.
Hurricane Beryl, now upgraded to a Category 5 storm, has prompted severe warnings of life-threatening winds and dangerous conditions across the region.
The National Hurricane Center of the United States reported the storm’s rapid escalation after it made landfall in the Windward Islands, continuing its menacing path towards Jamaica.

The Indian team, eagerly anticipated back home after their historic victory, is now to fly out on Tuesday evening local time from Barbados, with an expected arrival in Delhi on Wednesday evening IST, sources confirm.

Despite the setback, the team remains in good spirits and is looking forward to returning to India amidst the celebratory fervor awaiting their arrival.
