Iran-Linked Houthis Launch Cruise Missile at Ship; Warn UK to Steer Clear of Yemen’s Coast
Iran-backed Houthi rebels attacked a Norwegian-owned-and-operated ship allegedly linked to Israel in the Red Sea. The tanker ship was travelling through the strategic Bab el-Mandeb Strait off the coast of Yemen when it was reportedly hit by a cruise missile. The Strinda cargo vessel caught fire after the attack and was guided by U.S. naval destroyer USS Mason later.

Students at the Jawaharlal Nehru University can face a fine of Rs 20,000 for resorting to violence, holding dharnas, and hunger strikes on the campus and a fine of up to Rs 10,000 for raising anti-national slogans and inciting intolerance towards religion, caste or community. The JNU Students' Discipline and Conduct Rule has been issued following the approval by the highest decision-making body of the university on November 24.

A team of DRI Lucknow at Varanasi intercepted one person travelling from Kanpur to Varanasi in a bus with illegal possession of Indian Tent Turtles (Pangshura Tentoria) that are protected under Wild Life (Protection) Act, 1972 and recovered 436 live turtles. 436 turtles were seized and handed over to forest officials along with the detained person for further action

On SC verdict on Article 370, Congress MP P. Chidambaram says, "We respectfully disagree with the judgment on the manner in which Article 370 was abrogated. We reiterate the CWC resolution that Article 370 deserved to be honoured until it was amended strictly in accordance with the Constitution of India. We are also disappointed that the honourable Supreme Court did not decide the question of dismembering the state and reducing its status to 2 union territories that question is being reserved for adjudication in a suitable case in the future. The Indian National us has always demanded the restoration of full statehood for what has become the union territory of J&K. We welcome the Supreme Court's verdict in this regard. Full statehood must be restored immediately."
