1. Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita Bill, 2023. 2. Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita Bill, 2023. 3. Bharatiya Sakshya Bill, 2023. These bills were supposed to be introduced this week but now, new versions of the criminal bills will be drafted based on the recommendations by the committee. These bills have been withdrawn by the government after recommendations by the parliamentary standing committee.

Half of medical colleges in India may lose recognition for not following the NMC standards. Show cause notices have been issued to 349 medical colleges-- 197 government-aided and others private.

High drama erupted in the Rajya Sabha over DMK MP M. Mohamed Abdulla's remarks during a debate after the Supreme Court's verdict on the abrogation of Article 370. Abdulla quoted Periyar to say that each race has the right to self-determination. Abdulla said Periyar's view applies to the people of J&K, which the Rajya Sabha Chair opposed. The "outrageous" statement led to a massive uproar and was expunged. However, Modi ministers led by Amit Shah lashed out at the DMK and its ally Congress.
