Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Tamil Nadu and Lakshadweep on 2nd & 3rd January 2024

On 2nd January, 2024, Prime Minister will reach Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu. He will be the Chief Guest at the 38th Convocation Ceremony of Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli. At around 12 Noon, at a public programme in Tiruchirappalli, Prime Minister will inaugurate, dedicate the nation and lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects worth more than Rs 19,850 crore related to aviation, rail, road, oil and gas, shipping and higher education sectors. At around 3:15 PM, Prime Minister will reach Agatti, Lakshadweep where he will address a public function. On 3rd January, 2024, at around 12 Noon, Prime Minister will reach Kavaratti, Lakshadweep, where he will dedicate to nation and lay the foundation stone of multiple development projects in Lakshadweep related to sectors such as telecommunications, drinking water, solar power and health, among others,: PMO

The sale of Electoral Bonds will start from tomorrow. It will be sold through 29 authorised branches of SBI till the 11th of this month. Ministry of Finance said, in the 30th phase of sale of the bonds, SBI has been authorised to issue and encash Electoral Bonds.

IMD Forecasts Continued Cold in Northern India, Dense Fog in Multiple States

Record 8.18 Crore Income Tax Returns Filed for AY 2023-24, 9% Surge from Previous Year: CBDT

A new record of 8.18 crore ITRs for the Assessment Year (AY) 2023-2024 filed up to December 31, 2023, as against 7.51 crore ITRs filed up to December 31, 2022. This is 9% more than the total ITRs filed for AY 2022-23. The total number of audit reports and other forms filed during the period is 1.60 crore, as against 1.43 crore audit reports and forms filed in the corresponding period of preceding year: Central Board of Direct Taxes

India and Pakistan today exchanged, through diplomatic channels simultaneously at New Delhi and Islamabad, the list of nuclear installations and facilities, covered under the Agreement on the Prohibition of Attack against Nuclear Installations and Facilities between India and Pakistan. This is the 33rd consecutive exchange of such lists between the two countries, the first one having taken place on January 01, 1992.
