Suzuki Motorcycle India’s vehicle sales grow 24 pc in Dec
Two-wheeler maker Suzuki Motorcycle India on Tuesday said its vehicle sales increased 24 per cent year-on-year to 79,483 units in December. Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd (SMIPL), a subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, sold 63,912 vehicles in December 2022, as per a company statement. "The company closed December 2023 with total sales of 79,483 units, recording 24 per cent year-on-year growth," Suzuki Motorcycle India said in the statement. Of the total two-wheeler sales last month, the domestic sales volume stood at 69,025 units, while the remaining 10,458 units were retailed in the overseas markets, it stated
Gold jumps Rs 280; silver bounces Rs 300
Gold prices jumped Rs 280 to Rs 64,200 per 10 grams in the national capital on Tuesday amid strong global cues and depreciation in rupee, according to HDFC Securities. In the previous close, the precious metal had closed at Rs 63,920 per 10 grams, while silver rose Rs 300 to Rs 78,800 per kilogram. "The domestic gold prices traded higher following weaker rupee and stronger international gold prices," Dilip Parmar, research analyst at HDFC Securities, said. In the futures trade, February contract of gold advanced Rs 208 to Rs 63,528 per 10 grams on the MCX. Also, March contract of silver rallied Rs 405 to Rs 74,795 per kilogram on the bourse. In the overseas markets, gold and silver were quoting higher at USD 2,073 per ounce and USD 24 per ounce, respectively.

Militant Attack In Manipur: Four Manipur Police Commandos And BSF Jawan Injured In Moreh
Terrorists attacked four police commandos and a BSF jawan on Tuesday morning in Moreh, Manipur, injuring them all. They have been taken to RIMS Hospital in Imphal for treatment, according to officials. Haryana to start direct bus service to Ayodhya from Faridabad, Gurugram, Sonipat: Transport minister
Haryana Transport Minister Mool Chand Sharma on Monday announced that the state government will start direct bus service to Ayodhya from Faridabad, Gurugram, and Sonipat after the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on January 22. He also said that in the future if there is demand from other districts, direct bus service will start to Ayodhya from there as well. "After the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony, numerous people from Haryana will visit Ayodhya. This new bus service will provide them with a convenient and affordable way to travel," he was quoted as saying in an official statement.

Ram Mandir Trust has finalized the idol of Ram Lalla, with the installation ceremony scheduled for January 22. Out of the three idols in the race, the idol carved by Arun Yogiraj from Mysuru was selected for the prestigious installation. The other two idols will also be placed in the temple but at different locations. Meanwhile, the tailor, who has been making clothes for Ram Lalla since 1985, has started preparing a special yellow dress for the consecration ceremony. Members of the tailor's family was called by the trust to take the measurements of the finalized idol.
