The Traditional Sharara Gets Trendy This Summer Fashion Season 2023!

Summer Fashion 2023:Flared pants and bell bottoms have been the flavour of the season. It is only natural that come summer, this flavour spills into traditional wear.

The Sharara aka lehenga pants which are tight fitted around the thighs and flared around the legs will be a natural add-on to your wardrobe this season.

The traditional Sharara with its Lebanese origins made its way to India with the Mughals arriving in the 16th century. Originally worn with a long-length kurti that conservatively covered the thighs. Since then its seen a major change in fashion circles, especially courtesy of Bollywood.

This summer, style your Sharara and flaunt it fashionably with these options and make a bold style statement.

Check out these Five fun ways to style your Sharara this season!

Crops Tops

This one has now become the go-to option for all kinds of attire. The crop top which is a small garment for the upper body and reveals the midriff and navel area has become a loyal companion of the saree in its modern avatar.

Wear the crop top to your taste whether printed or in a bold colour and show off your Sharara. The crop top may be worn with or without a dupatta and gives a cool new look making this a great indo-western outfit.

Peplum Tops

The Peplum blouse perfectly accentuates the waistline with a ruffle at the bottom of the blouse. It’s the season of flared clothing and Peplum tops are the perfect style choice this season. The ruffled flare at the bottom of the blouse accentuates the waistline and blooms at the hips. With its origin in Greece, the peplum was first inspired by the Greek tunic called ‘peplos’. A favourite in royal circles in the Western world even now the Peplum is a classy option to wear with the Sharara which too was originally worn by Mughal royalty.

Short Kurtis

The Sharara in its new avatar is worn now and looks great with short kurtis. Give your Sharara short kurti a nice twist. Experimentation is the middle name of styling. Short kurtis with slits and spaghetti straps are some ways to make your look ready for this style season.

Jewelled Jackets

Wear the Sharara with long shrugs or full-length sleeveless ethnic jackets. Match the embellishments of your Sharara and your Jacket and wear a plain top under the jacket with a sheen. This will scream royalty but in a light edition which is ready to party in 2023!

Saree Story

Create an enchanting style story with your outfit. Be the showstopper at the next soiree. Wear the Sharara with a saree. Drape the saree like a dupatta and for the ‘pallu’ go wild! Wear it the way you like and craft your own saree and sharara story. The saree gets a great flared look with the Sharara at the bottom. Basically, the idea is to flare up your fashion quotient!
