The Central Government has formally appointed Justice KR Shriram as the new Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court, following the recommendation of the Supreme Court Collegium.

He replaces Justice MM Srivastava, who has been transferred to lead the Madras High Court.

The official notification confirming these appointments marks part of a wider judicial reshuffle involving leadership changes at four High Courts across India.

Leadership Transition Across High Courts

Justice Shriram, who previously served as Chief Justice of the Madras High Court, will now take charge in Rajasthan.

In turn, Justice Srivastava will assume the role of Chief Justice in Madras.

These changes, recommended by the Supreme Court Collegium, aim to enhance the efficiency and balance of judicial administration across the country.

A Distinguished Legal Journey

Born on 28 September 1963 in Mumbai, Justice KR Shriram brings with him a wealth of legal and judicial experience.
