New Delhi: The Delhi High Court has refused to block a single bench order directing the National Association of Law Universities (NLU Association) to revise the CLAT-2025 results if errors exist in the answer key.
A bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Vibhu Bakhru and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela denied the association’s request for an interim stay. The bench found no fault in the single bench’s handling of two disputed questions. It allowed the association to proceed with result declaration based on the earlier order. The court adjourned further hearings to January 7.
Justice Jyoti Singh, heading the single bench, ruled on December 20 that two answers in the CLAT-2025 key were incorrect. This decision came after a petition from a candidate who claimed five answers were wrong. The single bench confirmed errors in two questions and termed them “clearly visible.” It instructed the NLU Association to revise the results, stressing that ignoring the errors would lead to injustice.
The petitioner has appealed the single bench’s limited correction. He insists that all five disputed answers are incorrect and require review.
The NLU Association can now announce results per the single bench’s ruling but must account for the confirmed errors. The division bench will address the broader appeal in its January hearing.
