“You Are 83, Aren’t You Going To Stop?” Nephew Ajit Takes Dig At Uncle Sharad Pawar

Ajit Pawar finally declared that he wants become the Chief Minister of Maharashtra some day and also asked his Uncle Sharad Pawar to retire as he is 83 now. Younger Pawar rebelled and joined Eknath Shinde led government along with 8 other NCP leaders.

Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister said, “You portrayed me as a villain in front of everyone. I still have deep respect for him (Sharad Pawar), But you tell me, IAS officers retire at 60, even in politics. BJP leaders retire at 75, you can see the example of LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi, that allows the new generation to rise. You (Sharad Pawar) give us your blessings, the other day, he went to YB Chavan memorial, I have also been there but you are 83, aren’t you going to stop? Give us your blessings and we will pray that you live a long life.”

However countering to Ajit’s statement Sharad Pawar loyalist, NCP leader Anil Deshmukh said, “82 year lion is alive.” Both the NCP factions convened a meeting yesterday in which 13 MLA attended Sharad Pawar led meeting wheras 29 MLA supported Ajit Pawar. Currently, in Maharashtra Assembly NCP has 53 MLAs. Sharad Pawar faction has filed a petition to disqualify Ajit Pawar and other who rebelled against the party and joined hands with Shinde government.
