Lucknow: Addressing the fourth day of the monsoon session of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly, Leader of the House and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that we are taking the government’s schemes to the ground without discrimination. “If we look at the GDP of the state in comparison to 2015 and 2016, it has increased double.
This shows that Uttar Pradesh is moving in the right direction. Uttar Pradesh has the potential to become the leading economy of the country,” he claimed. The Chief Minister said that work has been done on education, health, and skill development. “Per capita income has also increased. Employment sources have also increased in the state. Today, Uttar Pradesh is the third country in terms of economy. Today the state is fulfilling most of its needs,” he remarked.
Yogi Adityanath said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has shown the people of the state a new India. “People look towards India with hopeful eyes. The faith of the people of India towards Modi has been seen. The work he has done in the last 10 years is unprecedented.
Within the next three years, India will become the third largest economy in the world,” he stressed. The Chief Minister said that a good network of expressways and highways has been built in Uttar Pradesh. “Within the last seven years, we have built many expressways. Purvanchal Expressway connects Lucknow with Purvanchal. Work is being done to connect every district headquarters with four lanes. Work has been done to connect Varanasi to Haldia via waterway. The work of connecting Ayodhya to Haldia is being accelerated,” he concluded.
