Union Ministers extended birthday wishes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday, praising his leadership and highlighting India’s development and progress towards the goal of ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said India was moving towards the goal of a developed nation with confidence under PM Modi’s leadership. He highlighted progress in infrastructure, digital connectivity, welfare, innovation and entrepreneurship.
Singh also said PM Modi had placed good governance and public service at the centre of India’s development journey, while strengthening transparency, accountability and citizen-centric administration. He added that India’s civilisational values and cultural heritage had gained renewed recognition globally.

Health Minister JP Nadda also extended birthday greetings and highlighted India’s economic growth and global standing. He referred to 7.8 per cent GDP growth and India’s role in hosting the BRICS Summit in New Delhi as indicators of a confident and capable nation.

PM Modi was born on September 17, 1950, in Vadnagar, Gujarat. He became Gujarat Chief Minister in 2001 and has served as Prime Minister since May 2014. He is currently serving his third term, and this year marks 25 years of his public life.
