On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged his Council of Ministers to look beyond 2024 and work towards accelerating India’s growth by 2047, when it will commemorate the 100th anniversary of its independence. PM Modi presided a meeting of Council of Ministers at Pragati Maidan convention centre.
According to the PTI news agency, PM Modi referred to the period up until 2047 as the “Amrit Kaal” (golden era) for the nation. He added that by 2047, a lot will change, with India seeing the rise of a highly educated workforce and cutting-edge technologies in a various fields.
During the meeting, a number of secretaries from several ministries, including foreign, defence, and railways were present who gave road map of India’s development in the next 25 years.
PM Modi posted a photo on twitter and wrote, “A fruitful meeting with the Council of Ministers, where we exchanged views on diverse policy related issues.”
Asserting that his government has accomplished a great deal of development work in its nine years in office, the prime minister asked his Council of Ministers to inform public about their work and promote it.
In order to promote work done by council of ministers, he requested them to compile 12 amjor accomplishments in their individual ministries and make a calender.
