Rahul Gandhi
During a rally in Nashik, Maharashtra, Rahul Gandhi attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the media for their lack of attention to significant concerns. He claimed that even though some of the most pressing issues right now include inflation, unemployment, and farmer concerns, we only see PM Modi on television.
Gandhi said, “The issues of farmers, inflation, unemployment, Agniveers are the most prominent in the country today, but on TV channels you will never see discussion on these issues. Instead, TV channels show Modi ji all 24 hours, at times he goes under the sea to do a puja and a TV camera goes with him, then he takes a flight on a seaplane.”
He further added, “The onion prices issue is a major one in the state of Maharashtra, but there is no discussion about it in the national media.”
From the tribal-dominated Nandurbar area of Maharashtra, Rahul Gandhi began the final phase of his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra on Tuesday.
He continued, “I travelled 4,000 km from Kanyakumari to Kashmir and travelled 6,000 km from Manipur to Maharashtra and met lakhs of people and talked to thousands of people. “The major issues are unemployment, inflation, and farmers’ issues. But if you look at the TV there is no discussion on these issues.”
Additionally, he attacked PM Modi for urging people to bang thalis while the coronavirus was still spreading during the Covid outbreak.
