The third Amrit Snan of Maha Kumbh 2025 came to a divine conclusion on Basant Panchami in Teerthraj Prayagraj, where Akharas performed a grand and sacred ritual bath.
According to the administration, millions of devotees immersed themselves in the holy waters of Triveni Sangam during the sacred Amrit Kaal.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath extended his congratulations to all saints, sages, and devotees on this auspicious occasion.
Saints Lead The Third Amrit Snan At Triveni Sangam
As the wave of unwavering faith surged along the banks of Triveni, the third Amrit Snan began with the ritual dip of saints from 13 Akharas, revered as the torchbearers of Hindu Sanatan Dharma.
This sacred event unfolded at the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mystical Saraswati.
The alignment of Basant Panchami, a day dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, with the third Amrit Snan of the Akharas made this occasion even more extraordinary.
The significance of Amrit Snans at Maha Kumbh lies in their deep spiritual meanings-the first representing karma, the second devotion, and the third knowledge.
The confluence of Maa Saraswati’s celestial stream with Ganga and Yamuna at Prayagraj however added a unique divine touch to this Amrit Snan.
Upholding their ancient Sanatan traditions, the Akharas of sadhus and sanyasis took the holy dip following an elaborate Shobha Yatra, performed with grandeur and full rituals.
The sight of this millennia-old tradition left devotees in awe as the Dharma Rakshak Nagas, ascetics from the Himalayan caves, monasteries, and temples, descended to the holy Sangam in their traditional attire.
Following the customary order, the Akharas proceeded to the Sangam in full grandeur.
The Amrit Snan began with Maha Nirvani Akhara, followed by the Naga Sadhus of Niranjani Akhara, Panchdashnam Juna Akhara, Aawahan Akhara, and Panch Agni Akhara.
The Vaishnav and Udasin Akharas took their sacred dips next, and the Nirmal Akhara completed the holy bathing ritual in the auspicious Amrit Kaal.
Floral Showers Add Grandeur To Amrit Snan
Adding to the grandeur, the Yogi government showered flowers from helicopters upon the crores of devotees who gathered at the Sangam for this final Amrit Snan of Maha Kumbh 2025.
The floral showers, beginning at 6:30 AM, continued throughout the Amrit Snan, blessing saints, Naga sanyasis, and devotees with a celestial shower of rose petals.
The atmosphere however was filled with sacred chants of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ and ‘Har Har Mahadev’.
Throughout all three Amrit Snans of Maha Kumbh 2025, floral showers from helicopters honored the saints, devotees, and Kalpvasis of the Akharas.
On this auspicious Basant Panchami, marking the divine appearance of Maa Saraswati, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath congratulated the saints, religious leaders, Akharas, Kalpvasis, and devotees who attained spiritual merit by taking the Amrit Snan at the sacred Triveni Sangam.
The Chief Minister emphasized that Maha Kumbh 2025 represents a significant opportunity to showcase India’s rich cultural heritage and spiritual values.
He expressed his hope that the event would spread the essence of peace, prosperity, and harmony across society.
