TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu
The Telugu Desam Party (TDP)’s prominent leader and former chief minister, N Chandrababu Naidu, was handed an arrest warrant by the Andhra Pradesh Criminal Investigation Department (CID) today in the Nandyal district in relation to the alleged corruption accusations.
The TDP leader was taken into jail at Nandyal in the early hours of the morning, according to news agency ANI, where there was great drama.
However, they were unable to continue because a number of workers got into a fight with the police officers who were investigating the late-night action while Mr. Naidu was visiting Nandyal and sitting on a bus.
A minor altercation reportedly occurred between TDP members and police officers, according to Indian news agency ANI.
The police’s late-night action against the senior leader drew criticism from TDP leaders.
According to reports, the police apprehended a few of the party members.
The area has a large police presence, according to the officials, and DIG Raghurama Reddy is in charge of them.
The police, however, have not answered the party leaders’ inquiries, claiming that the remand report is complete.
“We have proof. The high court received it from us. The entire contents are included in the remand report. During the altercation, CID personnel were heard shouting, “We will give a remand report before taking him to Vijayawada,” according to news source ANI.
