Respect or Harassment of Women: The Choice is Yours, Says Indresh Kumar

During a voter awareness campaign, Sr. RSS leader and Chief Patron of Muslim Rashtriya Manch Indresh Kumar highlighted the positions of the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister of Delhi. He remarked that while one leader is dedicated to the respect and dignity of women, the other has a track record of internal violence, citing an incident where a Rajya Sabha MP was allegedly assaulted at the Chief Minister’s residence. He urged voters to decide whether to condemn or glorify incidents like Nirbhaya, emphasizing a clear choice in the upcoming elections. Meanwhile, the Muslim Rashtriya Manch has advocated for voting to protect the Constitution and support nation-building, denouncing fanaticism and violence. Shahid Akhtar, National Convener of the Manch, echoed these sentiments during the campaign in New Delhi.

Vote to Uphold the Constitution and Build the Nation: MRM

Indresh Kumar stressed the importance of each vote, noting that India, as the largest democracy, grants equal power to every individual. He highlighted the good fortune of those who exercise this right and the misfortune of those who do not.

To illustrate his points, Kumar referenced historical figures like Hazrat Mohammad and Krishna, emphasizing that war leads to destruction and sometimes migration is a wiser choice. He expressed concern about global conflicts, where people of different religions are in constant strife, hindering education, progress, humanity, and development.

Kumar acknowledged rising inflation but pointed out that people’s purchasing power has increased significantly. This increase has led to improvements in infrastructure, such as 24-hour electricity, paved roads, and expanded rail and air routes, as well as enhanced quality in health and education. He urged voters to choose between a progressive government and a regressive one, and to decide whether they want a riot-free country or one filled with conflict.

Shahid Akhtar emphasized the importance of voting, calling it a crucial right given by the Government of India. He criticized those who neglect this right, reinforcing the Manch’s commitment to advancing education, progress, and culture.

Muslim Rashtriya Manch workers highlighted the nation’s developments during the campaign. They noted the transformation of national highways and improvements in housing for the Muslim community through the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. They also mentioned the construction of toilets in villages and cities under the Izzat Ghar initiative and the benefits of the Ujjwala scheme, which has alleviated health issues caused by smoke from traditional cooking methods.

Co-convener Imran Chaudhary addressed past misconceptions about voting, clarifying that fears of Muslim annihilation under certain governments were unfounded. He emphasized that the current government has fostered all-around development for the country and its Muslim population.
