In Rajasthan’s Dausa district on Sunday night, a bus carrying more than thirty people lost control and collapsed onto a railway track, killing four people and injuring many others. Injured people were hurried to a hospital for medical attention. The incident at near the Dausa Collectorate Circle.
“After the accident, 28 people were brought to the hospital, of which 4 are deceased. Doctors are treating the injured. SDM has been sent to the spot to investigate the incident,” said Rajkumar Kaswa, ADM Dausa, Rajasthan.
In a related incident, on Saturday in Rohini, Delhi, a speeding electric bus lost control and collided with several cars and scooters, inflicting one fatality and one injury.
CCTV footage of the incident near Vishram Chowk in Awantika, which happened at approximately 2.45 pm, was captured.
A Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus was seen hitting and dragging several vehicles in the video, including a car, an e-rickshaw, and a bike. Before coming to a stop, the bus also struck a number of scooters that were parked close to the pavement.
“Initial enquiry revealed that the driver of a DTC bus lost control of the bus and hit a car and some two-wheelers. The driver of the bus has been detained. Accordingly, necessary legal action is being taken in the matter,” a statement by the police said.
