Rahul Gandhi In Manipur: “I Came To listen My Brothers And Sisters, Manipur Needs Healing”

Rahul Gandhi arrived Churachandpur to meet people living in relief camps after being displaced during Manipur violence between Meiteis and Kukis. Congress leader arrived in a helicopter where he shared meal with children in the relief camp.

Rahul Gandhi shared a tweet stating that he arrived Manipur to meet his sisters and brothers of Manipur. Further, he blamed Central Government from stopping him to meet Manipur people.  Rahul Gandhi said, “People of all communities are being very welcoming and loving. It’s very unfortunate that the government is stopping me. Manipur needs healing. Peace has to be our only priority.”

What did Former Manipur CM say?

Former Manipur Chief Minister and Congress leader Okram Ibobi Singh criticized stopping Rahul Gandhi’s convoy and called it a “sample of dictatorship”. He further added that they came Manipur just to meet people who are suffering.

Rahul Gandhi Moirang visit cancelled

Manipur Congress president Keisham Meghachandra told ANI that it is not clear whether Rahul Gandhi will be able to continue his visit tomorrow as his visit to Moirang was cancelled after administration did not allow him to go there.
