Prayagraj: On Tuesday, Junior Resident doctors at SRN Hospital staged a sit-in protest in response to the recent incident involving a female doctor in Kolkata. They chanted slogans demanding the implementation of a Central Protection Act to ensure their safety. The doctors called on the government to introduce strict security measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
Work Disruptions at SRN Hospital Cause Patient Hardship
The protest led to significant disruptions at SRN Hospital, affecting patient care. Junior doctors halted their work for the second consecutive day, resulting in delays in prescriptions, outpatient services, and diagnostic tests such as X-rays and pathology. Patients experienced considerable inconvenience as a result.
Principal Dr. Vatsala Mishra Addresses Disruptions
In response to the disruptions, Dr. Vatsala Mishra, Principal of the Medical College, acknowledged the impact on hospital operations but assured that, with the support of senior doctors, services are resuming smoothly. She emphasized ongoing efforts to minimize patient inconvenience and maintain operational efficiency.
