Former Congress leader Acharya Pramod Krishnam has hailed the BJP’s victory in the Haryana Assembly elections as a triumph for “Sanatan” values and communal harmony. In an interview with a news agency, he expressed strong criticism of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, calling him a “panauti” or curse for the party.
Krishnam stated that the recent election results reaffirm the ideology aiming to position India as a “Vishwa Guru.” He recalled advising Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda to keep Gandhi out of the campaign. “If Rahul Gandhi had not come, Hooda would have been Chief Minister today,” he asserted.
He further argued that Gandhi’s influence has been detrimental to the party’s prospects. “If the product lacks power, no amount of marketing will help,” Krishnam said. He claimed that Gandhi is surrounded by individuals opposed to Sanatan principles, which he believes undermines the Congress’s chances in India.

Krishnam praised Hooda as a vital asset for Congress in Haryana. “Without him, Congress would have lost deposits,” he noted. He accused Gandhi of disrespecting Sanatan Dharma during the campaign, stating, “This result was inevitable. Haryana’s victory is India’s victory.”
Additionally, he criticized the current state of the Congress party, describing it as one dominated by sycophants rather than strong leaders. He emphasized that Gandhi’s relevance in politics is fading. “The party should have elevated Priyanka Gandhi as its face long ago,” he suggested.
Further more, regarding the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly results, Krishnam pointed out significant gains of BJP. He attributed this success to PM Modi and Amit Shah, saying that the peaceful conduct of elections post-Article 370 abrogation reflects public approval of their policies.
In conclusion, Krishnam predicted that the BJP would continue to strengthen its position in Jammu and Kashmir in future elections. “The party will win and form the government there,” he asserted.
