Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged German companies to fully leverage India’s talent and strengthen collaboration in skills, innovation, and industry.
At the India-Germany CEOs Forum, PM Modi highlighted India’s growing role as a global productivity engine. He said India is emerging as a key driver of global economic momentum. He highlighted India’s rapid technological advancement.
Key Points from PM Modi’s Address
PM Modi said India’s skilled workforce continues to drive innovation within German industries. He noted that skill mobility has expanded rapidly in high-technology sectors in recent years.
The Prime Minister said India’s economic momentum stems from sustained and wide-ranging reforms, not isolated policy actions.
“In a challenging global environment, India is advancing with over eight per cent growth,” he said.
PM Modi attributed this performance to continuous reforms that promote the private sector across defence, space, mining, and nuclear energy.
These reforms steadily reduce compliance burdens and improve the ease of doing business. He added that he has positioned India as a global symbol of optimism and growth.
The Prime Minister welcomed the India-EU Free Trade Agreement as a catalyst for stronger trade, investment, and strategic ties. He urged German firms to combine precision and innovation with India’s scale, manufacture locally, and export efficiently.
PM Modi said Chancellor Merz’s first Asia visit to India reflects strong trust in India’s role in Germany’s diversification strategy. He announced decisions to make the bilateral economic partnership expansive and future-ready, extending cooperation into strategic sectors.
The Prime Minister emphasised deeper collaboration in critical and emerging technologies. He highlighted opportunities in semiconductors, power electronics, biotech, fintech, pharma, quantum technologies, and cybersecurity.
PM Modi highlighted India’s leadership ambitions in green hydrogen, solar, wind, and biofuels. He offered German firms opportunities in manufacturing solar cells, electrolysers, batteries, and wind turbines.
Concluding his address, PM Modi said India’s inclusive AI vision with Germany’s expertise can shape a human-centric digital future.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi added that this partnership can deliver solutions ranging from e-mobility to food and health security.
