The leaders reviewed progress in India-US cooperation across trade, defence, energy and critical technologies. They discussed other areas of mutual interest as well. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to advance the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership.
PM Modi described the conversation as productive. He said both sides agreed to maintain close engagement.
The discussions come as India and the US continue negotiations on a bilateral trade agreement. The two countries have been working towards an interim trade pact despite differences over tariffs.
The leaders exchanged views on regional and international developments. They placed emphasis on efforts to promote global peace and security.
