PM Modi To Kickstart Farmer Scheme, Will Inaugurate Projects Over 7,5000 Crore

On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate a programme in Maharashtra that will help more than 86 lakh farmers. He will also unveil projects worth more than Rs 7,500 crore. PM Modi will travel to Goa later, at approximately 6.30 p.m., to preside over the 37th National Games’ opening ceremony.

An official statement states that Modi will inaugurate the new “darshan queue complex” at the famous Shri Saibaba temple in Shirdi, the first stop on his Maharashtra tour.

At Nilwande Dam, he will also perform a “Jal Pujan” ceremony and dedicate the canal network to the country. He will participate in a public ceremony later in Shirdi to officially launch and lay the groundwork for numerous development projects that have a combined estimated value of Rs 7,500 crore. These initiatives cover a range of industries, including oil and gas, rail, road, and health.

It has multiple waiting areas with a combined capacity of over 10,000 seats for devotees. In October 2018, the prime minister laid it’s foundation stone.

182 villages will benefit from the 85 km canal network by having easier access to water distribution pipes. Nilwande Dam was initially conceived in 1970. The statement stated that it is being developed at an approximate cost of Rs 5,177 crore.

Modi will introduce the “Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana” during the public event. It is expected to benefit over 86 lakh Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana beneficiaries in Maharashtra by giving them an extra Rs 6,000 a year.

The Ayush hospital at the Ahmednagar Civil Hospital, the 186-kilometer electrified Kurduwadi-Latur road railway section, the four-laning of the Sangli to Borgaon section of NH-166 (package-I), and the additional facilities at the Indian Oil Corporation Limited Manmad Terminal are just a few of the development projects he will officially open.
