Following his historic swearing-in ceremony for a third consecutive term as Prime Minister, PM Narendra Modi promptly commenced his duties by making his way to the Prime Minister’s Office at South Block on Monday, as the spotlight now shifts to the allocation of portfolios within the newly constituted Cabinet.
The eagerly awaited Cabinet includes a total of 30 Cabinet Ministers, in addition to five Ministers of State with Independent Charge, and a further 36 Ministers of State.
Sources anticipate that as the roles and responsibilities of each member come into focus, the newly appointed ministers will convene for their first Cabinet meeting later in the day.
Sunday evening witnessed a grand spectacle at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, where Prime Minister Modi, along with 71 ministers, took the oath of office.
The ceremony, presided over by President Droupadi Murmu, marked the formal commencement of the new government’s tenure.
A Pledge To Serve The Nation
Expressing his commitment to serving the nation, Prime Minister Modi took to social media platform X, affirming his dedication to the welfare of India’s vast populace.
The PM posted, “I look forward to serving 140 crore Indians and working with the Council of Ministers to take India to new heights of progress,” he declared.”

Emphasizing the strength of his team, PM noted, “This team of Ministers is a great blend of youth and experience, and we will leave no stone unturned in improving the lives of people.”

Meanwhile, with his re-election, Prime Minister Modi joins the esteemed ranks of Jawaharlal Nehru as the only other leader to serve three consecutive terms in the country’s highest office.
