Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday interacted via video conference with Seva Yatris travelling from Varanasi to Vadnagar under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan.

A participant from Unnao recalled meeting an elderly woman who expressed gratitude to PM Modi after receiving a pucca house under a government scheme.
Another participant highlighted the benefits of Ayushman Bharat for a young girl who received treatment and recovered.
PM Modi also spoke about road safety after noticing several participants wearing saffron turbans presented by villagers. He reminded them to wear helmets while riding motorcycles.
The Prime Minister urged the Seva Yatris to inspire people to contribute towards building a Viksit Bharat and document their experiences from the journey.
He also stressed the importance of continuous social reform, citing Mahatma Gandhi’s work beyond the freedom movement.
PM Modi called for dignity and respect for sanitation workers, highlighting their contribution to society.
He also recalled Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya’s emphasis on Swadeshi and public service, saying the Seva Yatra reflected patriotism and service.
The Seva Sankalp Abhiyan began on September 17, with 1,000 Seva Yatris travelling across 20 routes and around 1,000 villages.
The journeys include cleanliness drives, beneficiary interactions, youth dialogues, Gram Sabha Samvad, Gau Seva and tree plantation. The programme will continue until October 7.
