PM Modi arrives in Gujarat for 2-day visit, will lay foundation stone of various projects

In keeping with his two-day visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Gujarat on Monday to attend a function in the Mehsana district. The purpose of his visit is to lay the foundation stone for several development projects in the state that will cost over Rs 5,900 crore. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat greeted the Prime Minister at the airport in Ahmedabad.

PM Modi commenced his visit by offering prayers to Goddess Amba at the Ambaji temple in the Banaskantha district of Gujarat. Thousands of people gathered on both sides of the road upon the arrival of the PM’s convoy at the temple of Ambaji. After the darshan, he departed to speak at a function in Mehsana’s Dabhoda village, where he was supposed to introduce a number of initiatives.

A government release states that the projects are related to several government departments, such as roads and buildings, urban development, state water resource and water supply, Indian Railways, and Gujarat Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation (GRIDE).

The press release also stated that the districts of Mehsana, Ahmedabad, Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Mahisagar, Gandhinagar, and Patan are included in the 16 development projects that Modi will unveil.
