Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav has been summoned by a metropolitan court in Ahmedabad. The case was registered against him on his “only Gujaratis can be thugs (fraudsters)” controversial remark.
Tejashwi is summoned to appear in the court on September 22 by Additional Metropolitan Magistrate DJ Parmar. Under Section 202 of Code of Criminal Procedure an inquiry was done into the matter and court found enough evidence to summon Bihar’s Deputy CM.
A 69-year-old social worker and businessman Haresh Mehta who hails from Ahmedabad lodged a complaint against Tejashwi Yadav over his remark on Gujaratis who gave such statement on March 21 of this year.
Recently Tejashwi Yadav made a controversial remark on BJP government, as per PTI he said, “We were glad to see so many aspirants from UP turning up. Their state government is busy with Hindu-Muslim binary and bulldozers”. On Monday, Tejashwi Yadav said that a large number of job seekers from Uttar Pradesh had applied for openings in the recently held teacher recruitment exams. He claimed that this occurred as a result of the BJP government’s obsession with the “Hindu-Muslim binary and bulldozers.” Yadav slammed Yogi Adityanath government’s frequent use of property destruction against suspected criminals as well as the BJP’s alleged use of racial divide techniques.
