Today(17 September) on the 73rd birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP is organizing programs across the country. PM Modi will inaugurate the convention centre Yashobhoomi in Dwarka, Delhi along with the launch of PM Vishwakarma Yojana. PM Modi will dedicate it to the public.
Under PM Vishwakarma Yojana, along with making traditional artisans and craftsmen self-reliant, they have to be given advanced training and financial assistance. This scheme will empower carpenters, boat makers, weapon makers, blacksmiths, goldsmiths, potters, masons, barbers, gardeners, washermen, tailors, locksmiths, traditional toy makers, weavers, cobblers, shoe-makers, hammer and tool kit makers and sculptors, stone breakers.
Free registration of artisans will be done through biometric system on PM Vishwakarma portal. After this, these artisans will be given advanced training, certificates and identity cards. Apart from this, financial assistance of Rs 15,000 will also be given to needed equipment. If any artisan wants to take loan, then loan will be provided to him at 5% interest without mortgaging anything allowing artisans to take loan up to one lakh rupees.
Yashobhoomi Convention Center was built on 8.9 lakh square meters on Delhi-Mumbai Highway. This is the world’s largest MICE. There are 15 convention centers here. There is a grand ball room. With which 13 meeting rooms have been made. The country’s largest LED media facade has been built in the convention center. There is a seating arrangement for 6 thousand people in the Plenary Hall of the Convention Centre.
