Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), Maharashtra’s opposition alliance is ramping up for the upcoming Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) conclave to be held next week in Mumbai. MVA leaders which comprises Congress, NCP and Shiv Sena(UBT) are attending meetings in order to gear up for the event.
This is the third meeting of the alliance, as the first one was held in Patna in June and second in Bengaluru last month. The third conclave will be held on August 31 and September 1.
An important meeting was held in Grand Hyatt Hotel in Santacruz, Mumbai on August 23. UBT Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar, and senior Congress leaders, including Ashok Chavan, Milind Deora, Varsha Gaikwad, and Sanjay Nirupam attended the meet.
As per sources, NCP was interested in discussing seat sharing formula for Lok Sabha elections ahead of INDIA meeting. But disscussions are ongoing whether this matter should be taken at the meet or not.
Rahul Gandhi will also be visiting Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) office in South Mumbai during the meeting. A press conference will also be held to show the power and strength of the opposition alliance ahead of the meet. During the conference on August 30, INDIA bloc logo will be unveiled by Sharad Pawar and Uddhav Thackeray.
