The Labour Department has issued a show-cause notice to OHM Global Mobility Private Limited and Switch Mobility Automotive Limited over the alleged termination of Proviz Mansystems Private Limited’s contract without prior statutory notice.
The Deputy Labour Commissioner (Okhla) has described the companies’ unilateral action as a potential violation of the Industrial Disputes Act.
The department has directed the parties to maintain the status quo at the disputed site and instructed senior management representatives to appear in person and submit explanations.
It has warned of strict legal action if the companies fail to provide satisfactory responses.
OHM Global Mobility signed an agreement with Proviz Mansystems on 11 July 2025 for the complete operation of the Tehkhand DTC Bus Depot on Maa Anandmayee Marg in Okhla.
The company had to make the facility operational by 28 August 2025. Om Prakash Kumar, Manager (HR and Legal) at Proviz Mansystems, said his company met the technical and operational requirements and began operations within the deadline.
Alleged Contract Breach and Denial of Entry
Proviz Mansystems claimed that OHM Mobility had also promised it contracts to operate five additional electric bus depots.
However, the company alleged that management delayed the commitments before terminating the existing agreement without prior notice.
The dispute escalated on 8 October 2026, when authorised representatives Ombir Pawar and Kumar allegedly faced denial of entry at the depot.
Proviz Mansystems subsequently filed a written complaint at the Okhla police station.
Kumar said the decision had put the livelihoods of thousands of employees, technicians and workers at risk.
Proviz Mansystems has sought intervention from the DTC managing director, the local MLA and the police administration.
It has submitted representations and documents relating to its claimed 12-year operational agreement, seeking protection of workers’ rights and appropriate legal action.
