‘Kejriwal Is Arrested Due To His Own Deeds’: Social Activist Anna Hazare

Social activist Anna Hazare reacted on the arrest of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal by ED. Regarding Arvind Kejriwal, Anna Hazare said, “Arvind Kejriwal, who worked with me and had raised his voice against liquor, is making liquor policy today. I felt sad about this. His arrest is because of his own deeds.”

Kejriwal was involved in Anna’s movement against corruption

Kejriwal had taken part in Anna Hazare’s movement against corruption. After the movement he formed his own party. Anna Hazare has already written a letter to Delhi CM Kejriwal regarding liquor. Anna Hazare had written in his letter that “he should close the liquor shops in Delhi.” While targeting Arvind Kejriwal, he had said that “He had talked big in the book Swaraj, but its effect is not visible in his conduct. Just as alcohol is intoxicating, power is also intoxicating. It seems that you too have become intoxicated with such power.”

Anna had said this regarding alcohol

Social activist Anna Hazare had said about the harm caused by alcohol that it increases the cases of murders of people and atrocities on women, that is why I had talked to Kejriwal to stop the liquor policy, but my words never came to his mind and he started it. He was arrested because of the liquor policy.
