Kalyaan Trust organized the International Women’s Day Awareness Ride 2025, bringing together over 400 riders, including more than 200 women bikers, to promote awareness on women’s empowerment, equality, and social issues.
The ride commenced from different zones in Delhi (North, South, East, and West) and Navi Mumbai (NMMC), culminating at YWCA in Delhi and Karjat in Mumbai.
Participants included social activists, influencers, and biking communities, advocating for causes such as women’s health, legal rights, STEM opportunities, and road safety.
Dr. Aprajita Mall, Senior Resident at Medanta Hospital, Gurgaon, stated, “Health is the foundation of empowerment. As we ride together on this International Women’s Day, we are not just advocating for gender equality but also raising awareness about the importance of women’s health and well-being. A healthier woman leads to a stronger family, a more productive workforce, and a progressive society. Let’s prioritize self-care, regular check-ups, and a lifestyle that nurtures both physical and mental wellness.”
Wing Commander (Retd) Mr Gandhi highlighted the ride’s purpose, noting, “Empowerment begins with awareness, and today, we ride to inspire change. Together, we break stereotypes, challenge barriers, and create a path for a more inclusive and equal future.”
Social activist Kadambari Kaushik asserted, “This ride is a tribute to the courage and determination of women everywhere. It’s a reminder that when we come together to support and uplift one another, we pave the way for a world where equality is not just an ideal, but a reality.”
Motocross trainer Mahak Dixit remarked, “Every turn of the wheel in this ride symbolizes the strength, courage, and relentless spirit of women. Together, we accelerate toward a future where women empowerment is not a dream but a destination.”
Reet Mendiratta, Founder of Independent Riders Group, underscored the importance of inclusivity, emphasizing, “The overwhelming participation in this ride reflects the growing movement toward more female inclusivity and empowerment. Through initiatives like these, we aim to foster a society that values and uplifts women in every sphere of life.”
Mrs Devi Banerjee of Iron Horses added, “Every turn of the wheel represents a step toward more inclusive society. This ride is not just about celebrating women—it’s about ensuring that every woman has the freedom and opportunity to thrive, lead, and inspire.”
Sushma Khanduja of Befikre Riders stressed the power of collective action, saying, “The road to empowerment is built on solidarity, and today’s ride is a shining example of how collective action can drive meaningful change. When women rise, communities flourish, and societies prosper.”
Kalyaan Trust expressed gratitude to all participants and supporters, reaffirming its commitment to initiatives that create meaningful social impact.
