Janhvi Kapoor Reflects On ‘Nadiyon Paar’ And ‘Roohi’ As The Film Celebrates Four Years

As the horror-comedy Roohi marks its fourth anniversary on March 11, Janhvi Kapoor took to social media to share some exciting anecdotes from her hit dance number, ‘Nadiyon Paar’.

The song, which made waves in 2021, showcased Janhvi’s sizzling moves, leaving fans in awe of her performance.

A Grueling Yet Exciting Marathon Of Work

In her post, Janhvi revealed that she had only three days to rehearse for the song, which she juggled with the shoot of her other film Goodluck Jerry.

She described the intense schedule, writing, “I was such a kid. So nervous about this song. Hadn’t even learned how to keep my eyes open without squinting under harsh lights.”

Janhvi explained how she rehearsed for ‘Nadiyon Paar’ while working on Goodluck Jerry, shooting all night for the latter in Patiala, flying out in the morning, and then shooting the dance number that very evening.

She completed the song in just seven hours with no sleep, fueled only by excitement for being in front of the camera.

Janhvi also gave a fun behind-the-scenes tidbit about her outfit in the song. She disclosed that the costume was created in just one day, after a last-minute call to the renowned designer Manish Malhotra.

“This outfit was made in one day after a last-minute desperate call to my knight in shining armor @manishmalhotra05,” she shared.

Janhvi also credited the iconic Katrina Kaif as the inspiration for her hair, makeup, dance, and wardrobe choices.

Roohi’s Success And Upcoming Projects

Directed by Hardik Mehta and produced by Dinesh Vijan under the Maddock Films banner, Roohi tells the story of a ghost who abducts brides during their honeymoons.

The film starred Janhvi in the lead role alongside Rajkummar Rao, Varun Sharma, Alexx O’Nell, Manav Vij, and Sarita Joshi in pivotal roles.
