PM Modi suggested that holding weddings in India would keep the money within the country, offering opportunities for people to contribute to the celebrations and benefitting the local economy. He encouraged citizens to prioritize products made in India while shopping for weddings, aligning with the ‘Vocal for Local’ initiative.

Additionally, PM Modi acknowledged the diminishing trend of cash payments during Diwali, signaling a shift toward digital transactions. He encouraged individuals to commit to making payments through UPI or other digital mediums for a month, sharing their experiences afterward.
