Locals confirmed sightings of drones, and sources said the Jammu airport was among the targets.
Reports suggested a large-scale drone assault along the International Border.
Indian Forces Intercept Drones; Down Fighter Jets
Indian Armed Forces intercepted and destroyed several drones and missiles.
The S-400 air defence system reportedly shot down two Pakistani JF-17s and one F-16 jet.
Officials stated that missile debris was being collected as proof of Pakistan’s direct involvement in the attacks.
India’s Ministry of Defence said Pakistan tried to hit military targets in cities like Srinagar, Jammu, Pathankot, Amritsar, and Chandigarh on May 7.

India Launches Operation Sindoor; Pakistan Shells LoC
India launched Operation Sindoor in retaliation for the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam that killed 26 people.
From 1:04 AM to 1:30 AM, Indian forces carried out precision air strikes on nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
Soon after, the Pakistan Army launched heavy artillery and mortar shelling on villages along the LoC.
The shelling killed 12 civilians and one Indian soldier.
In response, Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called India’s action ‘an act of war’ and vowed a ‘befitting reply’.
Pakistani Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, however, said Islamabad was ready to de-escalate if India did the same.
US Urges De-escalation; Backs India On Anti-Terror Stand
US State Department Spokesperson Tammy Bruce confirmed that Secretary Marco Rubio spoke with Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Thursday.
Secretary Rubio urged immediate de-escalation and backed direct dialogue between India and Pakistan.
He expressed condolences over the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack and reaffirmed US support to combat terrorism alongside India.
