Gyanvapi Carbon dating Case: Today the Gyanvapi masjid case dispute will be heard again, on the petition filed for the demand for a scientific survey in the matter of carbon dating of shivling found in Gyanvapi premises. The petition is to be heard in the court after 2 pm today.
Earlier the date of the hearing was January 18 but later the court extended the hearing by a day.
Order for carbon dating of Shivling
Allahabad High Court will hear again on Thursday on the carbon dating of Shivling recovered from the Gyanvapi campus of Varanasi. Let me tell you, Justice JJ Munir’s single bench is hearing the petition filed by Lakshmi Devi and another member. According to the information received, the court in the last hearing had asked the Archaeological Survey of India to file a reply using some other method to determine the dating of the alleged Shivling without any tampering.

Shivling should not be harmed
In the last hearing, the court had asked the ASI whether there was any method by which dating of the alleged Shivling could be done without damaging it. On this, the ASI replied that they have many such methods by which carbon dating can be done without harming the Shivling. Private agencies are being negotiated for this work.
