Several exit polls, including those by Dainik Bhaskar, predict a majority for the BJP-led NDA in Jharkhand’s assembly elections. However, Axis My India, led by Pradeep Gupta, forecasts a victory for the INDIA bloc, giving them 53 out of 81 seats.
According to the Bharat Express poll of polls, the NDA (BJP-led alliance) is projected to win 40 seats in Jharkhand’s assembly elections. The INDIA (opposition) alliance is forecast to secure 38 seats, while others are expected to win 3 seats. The final vote tally will be revealed on November 23.
Jharkhand recently completed voting for its 81-member assembly, with the second and final phase held on November 20. The Majority Mark for Jharkhand assembly is 41. The first phase on November 13 saw high voter turnout.

This election was peaceful, marking a first for Jharkhand since its formation in 2000. Women voters outnumbered men in 37 out of 43 seats during the first phase, with the trend continuing in the second phase. Seats reserved for Scheduled Tribes and Castes had even higher turnout.
Prominent candidates in this election include Chief Minister Hemant Soren from Barhait, former CM Champai Soren from Saraikela, BJP president Babulal Marandi from Rajdhanwar, and Opposition Leader Amar Kumar Bauri from Chandankiyari.
Two polling officers were penalized for misconduct during the election. A presiding officer in Deoghar was removed for being near the voting compartment, while in Madhupur, an officer was detained for allegedly influencing votes in favor of the JMM candidate.
Over 2.26 crore voters participated in the elections, signaling a successful and peaceful democratic process in Jharkhand. The final results will be announced on November 23.
