Eid-ul-Fitr 2024: Huge Crowd Gathers To Offer Prayer At Nizamuddin, Jama Masjid

At Delhi’s Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah and Nizamuddin Market, Muslims flocked the streets wearing vibrant clothes to offer prayers on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

The famous Nizamuddin dargah dome, festooned with vivid yellow lights, gave off a joyous aura, preparing the ground for Thursday’s Eid festivities.

Huge crowds at the markets, as revelers were seen exchanging Eid wishes and buying garments, candy, and other necessities for the celebration.

On Eid, a huge crowd assembled to pray at the well-known Jama Masjid.

In the meantime, to guarantee a secure and tranquil Eid celebration, security measures were tightened in the nation’s capital, with police doing extensive inspections of both people and cars.

To manage the crowd of people to the dargah later in the day, barricades were put up.

The first day of Shawwal, the tenth month in the Islamic lunar calendar, is when Eid ul-Fitr is observed. The moon sighting, which has long been a part of Islamic culture, makes the celebration extremely significant. Prophet Muhammad is said to have waited for reports of crescent moon sightings since they heralded the start of a new month.

Meanwhile, Eid-ul-Fitr preparations are going on Mohammed Ali Road in Mumbai.

The atmosphere was lively as people poured into stores to purchase apparel, candies, and dry fruits in preparation for the happy event.
