Shivpal Singh Yadav, Samajwadi Party general secretary and the party’s nominee for the Budaun Lok Sabha seat, alleged on Wednesday that some local officials are acting under the instructions of BJP leaders. He accused these officials of intimidating village chiefs, block development committee (BDC) members, and others to work for the governing party. Yadav claimed to have reported this to District Magistrate (DM) Manoj Kumar.
“If the DM does not take action on this matter, we will file a complaint with the Election Commission,” he stated. Responding to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s comment that the union of two lads is a flop show, Yadav remarked that the two boys in question are leaders rather than artists. “Both are leaders, and leaders never fail,” he claimed.
Addressing a reported comment by SP founder late Mulayam Singh Yadav’s younger daughter-in-law Aparna Yadav, who is a BJP member, regarding contesting the next Lok Sabha elections, Yadav questioned, “What has she got so far (from the BJP)? She has got nothing. The BJP merely provides false claims and promises. It’s a lie-filled celebration.”
Yadav also announced that the SP’s nominations for the Budaun Lok Sabha seat will be made on April 15, although he did not specify who will file them. There is speculation that his son Aditya Yadav may run from Budaun instead of Shivpal Yadav.
