ED Arrests Real Estate Firm Supertech’s Chairman R K Arora In Money Laundering Case

Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested R K Arora, the chairman and owner of the real estate firm Supertech on Tuesday on charges of money laundering, according to official sources.

As per sources, after a third round of interrogation at the local office of the federal agency, Arora was taken in custody under the criminal sections of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

On Wednesday, he is anticipated to appear before a special PMLA court, where the ED would seek his continued remand.

A number of FIRs were filed by the police departments in Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh, which resulted in filing of money-laundering case against Supertech Group, its directors, and its founders.

The ED had attached the real estate group’s and its directors’ assets worth more than Rs. 40 crore in April.
