Digvijay Singh Fears Election Irregularities In MP Lok Sabha Seat, Reaches Supreme Court

Digvijay Singh appeared to be angry with the functioning of the Election Commission. He approached Supreme Court regarding possibility of irregularities in the strong room. Digvijay Singh has filed a petition in the Supreme Court regarding the disappearance of Symbol Loading Unit i.e. SLU in Rajgarh Strongroom. The Supreme Court can hear the petition filed by Digvijay Singh on May 17. He alleged that Rajgarh administration has handed over SLU back to Election Commission. The SLU is kept strongroom in Guna, but not in Rajgarh. Whereas on May 1, the Central Election Commission had issued a circular directing all the states to keep the SLU safe in the strong room for 45 days in view of the election petitions.

Digvijay Singh alleges that when there is a clear order of the Supreme Court that these units have to be preserved in the strong room of the Lok Sabha for the next 45 days, then why has the Election Commission sent these units of Rajgarh somewhere else. When candidate Digvijay Singh went to visit the strong room, he came to know about the disappearance of SLU. Congress has claimed that it was not an Election Commission official but someone else who took the SLU. The voting process of four phases of Lok Sabha elections 2024 in Madhya Pradesh has been completed.
