DG NCC Visits UP To Review NCC Activities, Lauds Efforts Of Cadets

PRAYAGRAJ: Director General of NCC Lt Gen Gurbirpal Singh, AVSM, VSM visited Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh  to review NCC activities in the units under Group Headquarters on Tuesday where the General Officer was received by Maj Gen Vikram Kumar, ADG NCC (Dte) UP and was briefed by Brig US Kandil, Group Commander, NCC Prayagraj.

The General Officer interacted with ANOs, PI Staff and Cadets of various NCC units and further felicitated the high performing officers. Staff. Lt (Dr) Divya Kumar of 01 UP CTR was awarded DG NCC Commendation Card and DG NCC Medallion and Appreciation was awarded to other selected ANOs and Cadets.

Later DG NCC visited  No. 1 UP Naval NCC Unit which is the only  Naval Unit under Prayagraj Group and inspected the models of ship made by the NCC cadets. He lauded the efforts of the cadets and ANO’s in preparing these diverse working models.

He was later briefed on various facets of naval training imparted to naval NCC cadets by CO of the unit, Capt Vaibhav Tripathi and cadets of the unit. This included briefing on Rowing Simulator, Ship Modelling, Seamanship, Naval Chart work etc. He was given a live demonstration of Rowing simulator by the young cadets themselves.
