Delhi Police Launches Probe into Fraudulent Farmhouse Registration Case Involving Builder Shaili Thapar

The Economic Offenses Wing of Delhi Police has ordered to initiate a thorough investigation against builder Shaili Thapar in the case of fraudulent registration of a farmhouse in Vasant Kunj. If sources are to be believed, PE has been registered in the matter. It is alleged that Sub Registrar Shobha Toula posted in Hauz Khas is also involved in this misappropriation. After the start of the investigation, the troubles of other officials of the Southern District Revenue Department are also likely to increase.

This was the whole matter

Gogiya Farm is located on Church Mall Road in Vasant Kunj. Farm owner Monica Gogia had signed an agreement with builder Shaili Thapar to sell its four thousand-yard portion. Under the agreement, Thapar had made an advance payment of Rs 10 crore for this deal of Rs 38 crore. The remaining amount was to be given before registration. On 23 February, builder Shaili Thapar took Monica Gogia to the Sub Registrar (Hauz Khas) office and got the documentary formalities completed. Where Monica Gogia appeared before the sub-registrar and refused to approve registration until the outstanding amount of Rs 28 crore was paid. After this, when she became suspicious, on February 27, she wrote to Sub Registrar Shobha Toula and complained to the office of Southern District DM M. Chaitanya Prasad with complete details of the case for not getting the registration done.

The game of the vicious sub-registrar!

It is alleged that sub-registrar Shobha Taula, accused of collusion in the case, played a trick on the accused builder and gave a notice to Gogiya giving him time to reply within three days. But this notice written on 29 February was sent on the third day i.e. 02 March. Due to this the role of the Sub Registrar also became doubtful. Monica Gogia says that she replied to this notice received on the evening of March 4 within the stipulated time, despite this, the registrar ignored all the facts and registered her property in the name of builder Shaili Thapar.

The builder gave a strange explanation

When builder Shaili Thapar was questioned in this matter, his lawyer Tarjit Singh said that the deadline for the deal to buy the property for Rs 38 crore had expired on February 10. Which the Thapar family itself had canceled through public notice on March 2. He said that his client Shaili Thapar has got two registries done for a four thousand yard plot without any new agreement. This agreement and deal was done with mutual consent between Gogiya and Thapar. When he was asked that after the old deal of Rs 38 crore, why and how can someone sell his property for Rs 10 crore within a month? So he had argued that this was a case of registry done with mutual consent. As far as construction is concerned on agricultural land, at present no construction is taking place there.

Dark truth of revenue department

It is noteworthy here that builder Shaili Thapar buys plots of agricultural land in this entire area, builds farm houses on them and sells them. This construction is illegal under revenue law. But the revenue officers, who have proved themselves to be honest and fair and take action against the minor construction work done in the farmer’s field, are seen wagging their tails in front of the influential people. According to sources, not only the Revenue Officer, Tehsildar and Patwari of Mehrauli Sub Division, other top officials also collect huge amount from the farm houses built on agricultural land.

Municipal robbers

If you remember, recently the High Court had compared the corrupt engineers of the Building Department to dacoits. Apart from being dacoits, they are also known as extortion eagles in different areas. Perhaps this is the reason why a big game of extortion through illegal construction has been going on here for the last three years. In which high ranking officers of the corporation are also included. In this case too, it is alleged that when the victim’s family complained to the JE of the area, he started abusing the victim on the phone.

Southern District DM shrugged it off

Surprisingly, despite the complaint lodged in this matter in his own office, the DM says that he has no knowledge about it. Whereas due to the rampant corruption in the sub-registrar office of his district, an officer has also been suspended.

EOW registered PE

Troubled by the Kumbhakarni officials of the Revenue Department not waking up, the victim complained about the matter to the Economic Offenses Wing of Delhi Police. After which the branch has issued orders to register a PE against the builder in this matter and start investigation. after which the builder.
