Delhi Liquor Policy Case: Former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) leader Manish Sisodia’s bail plea in connection with excise policy case which was probed by CBI was rejected by the Delhi High Court.
The High Court rejected the bail plea stating that the allegations against Manish Sisodia were very serious in nature, so the bail cannot be granted to him and excise policy was formed in conspiracy for undue advantage. The court also obvserved that his behaviour is not right in this case. He can influence witnesses. He had been the deputy chief minister and held 18 portfolios. Bail can’t be granted to him.

Allegations against Sisodia are very serious in Nature
Justice Dinesh Kumar Sharma pronounced his verdict in the matter on Tuesday. According to Live Law, Justice Sharma said, “The allegations against him are very serious in nature that the excise policy was formed at the instance of South Group with mala fide intention to give undue advantage to them. Such behaviour points towards the misconduct of the applicant who was admitted a public servant and was holding a very high position.”
Will move to Supreme Court
After the bail plea rejection by the High Court the Former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia will move to the Supreme Court in the matter. Currently Sisodia is in judicial custody in Tihar jail. On 26 February, Manish Sisodia was arrested by CBI after being allegedly accused of money laundering and corruption in connection with the Delhi Liqour policy.
