A delegation from the Dawoodi Bohra community met PM Narendra Modi today to express their gratitude for the recently passed Waqf Amendment Act.
The representatives described the amendment as a long-awaited and historic step that addresses the community’s long-standing concerns.

During the meeting, community members told the PM Modi that the amendment had been a key demand for many years.
With the passage of the law, they believe the government has responded positively to their consistent appeals, bringing meaningful reform to the management of Waqf properties.

The delegation reiterated its strong belief in Prime Minister Modi’s vision of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas’.
They expressed confidence that the Waqf Amendment Act would foster transparency, justice, and inclusiveness in the governance of religious endowments.
Focus On Transparency And Accountability
The Central Government has stated that the primary objective of the Waqf Amendment Act is to ensure greater transparency and accountability in the administration of Waqf properties.
According to the government, the reform is aimed at increasing public confidence and safeguarding the rights of all religious communities.

The Dawoodi Bohra representatives thanked PM Modi for his leadership and commitment to equitable governance.
